Recipes Fruit Crisp (Dessert, Holidays, No artificial sweeteners, Vegetarian)

    • 4 apples, peeled and sliced
    • 1 tbsp. sugar
    • ½ tsp. cinnamon, divided
    • ¼ cup quick-cooking oats
    • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
    • 2 ½ cups flour 
    • 1 tbsp. light margarine, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Place apple slices in 9-in. pie plate; set aside.  In small bowl, combine sugar and ¼ tsp. cinnamon; sprinkle over apples and toss gently to coat.  Cover and bake 25 minutes, remove from oven and set aside.  In separate bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, flour margarine and remaining cinnamon, sprinkle over apples and return to oven.  Bake uncovered 15-20 minutes or until fruit is tender.
