Recipes Baked Onion Rings (Side dish, Snack, Vegetarian)

Ingredients
    • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
      3 large egg whites
    • 1 1/2 cups fine dry breadcrumbs, preferably whole-wheat
    • 1 tablespoon seasoning blend (Cajun, jerk or Old Bay)
    • Olive oil or canola oil cooking spray
Instructions

Mix dry ingredients in bowl.  Mix dry ingredients in another bowl.  Dredge onion rings in egg whites and then in bread crumb mixture.  Place in single layer on baking sheet.  Coat well with cooking spray (so they crisp and brown).  Bake 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until crispy.
