Recipes Pasta Primavera with Meat Sauce (Entree)

    • 1 lb. extra-lean ground beef
    • 6 oz. uncooked penne pasta
    • 1/4 cup diced onion
    • 1/4 cup diced red or green bell pepper
    • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
    • 1 tsp. granulated garlic
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 3 cup prepared spaghetti sauce
    • (1) 10-oz. pkg. frozen stir-fry vegetables, thawed
    • nonstick cooking spray



Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat. Drain and set aside. In large saucepan coated with cooking spray, sauté onion and bell pepper. Add mushrooms, garlic, salt and ground beef; cook 12 minutes or until done. Drain off excess fat; add spaghetti sauce and vegetables. Simmer for 5 minutes more; serve over pasta.
