Recipes Green Pepper Steak (Entree)

    • 1 lb. lean sirloin steak, cut into 1/4 –inch strips
    • 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
    • 1/4 tsp. pepper, freshly ground
    • 1 can beef broth
    • 1 medium onion, sliced
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1 tbsp. canola oil
    • 1 cup canned tomatoes with juice
    • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
    • 1-1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 large green pepper, cut in strips



Coat strips of round steak with flour mixed with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large fry pan. Brown meat on all sides, drain off any fat. Add broth, tomato juice (reserving tomato pieces), onion and garlic to meat. Cover and simmer about 30 to 40 minutes or until meat is tender. Add tomato pieces, green pepper strips and Worcestershire sauce. Stir and cook 10 minutes longer.
