Recipes Spicy Fresh Green Beans (Side dish, Holidays)

Number of Servings
    • 2 lbs. fresh green beans, cleaned and snapped at both ends
    • 1 large onion, sliced
    • 1 tbsp. minced garlic
    • 1 tbsp. cracked black pepper
    • 1 tbsp. Tony Chachere's seasoning
    • Salt to taste



Place all in large stock pan.  Add water 4 inches above beans.  Add 6 squares chicken bouillon to water.  Cook over medium heat (low boil) until beans are tender, 1-2 hours.  Add more water as needed.  Add 6-8 small fresh new potatoes after 1 hour of cooking if desired.  Prick potatoes with a fork to check if done.
