Ingredients
    •   1 1/4 cups black beans, cooked
    •   1/2 cup onion, chopped
    •   1/2 cup cilantro or fresh parsley, chopped
    •   2 tbsp. chili-garlic paste or plain tomato paste
    •   1 egg
    •   2 tbsp. skim or 1 % milk
    •   Salt and pepper (to taste)
    •   1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
    •   2 tbsp. olive oil
Instructions

In a medium-sized bowl, thoroughly mix first 7 ingredients. Add bread crumbs to mixture and form into 4 patties. Gently slide patties into an oiled, hot sauté pan. Sauté until cakes are brown and crisp on both sides.
